Buddhism originated from India. The Buddha, son of a Nepal king, was born in about 566BC. As a young man he deeply sympathized with the sufferings of the people he saw around him. He left his luxurious home and sat under a bodhi tree and meditated. After a long time of meditation, on a full moon night of May, he realised the truth of exsistence of all things in all Dharmas, His thoughts and philosophy later evolved to become the teaching of Buddhism.
